Ellen Kamhi
Ellen became a Natural Nurse RN and PhD and her interest has been lifelong. Many references and additional
information is in her book, The Natural Medicine Chest – available on-line. Ellen has information on podcasts, radio
interview, you tube, articles, books, etc. She also teaches courses in herbal medicine for future information found on her
website here https://www.naturalnurse.com/
Where to find Credible info:
www.PubMed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov – is a public US government site – medical studies are listed there for reference and
information about herbs – studies, testing, etc. Biomedical research.
www.ScienceDirect.com – Scientific, technical & medical research, journals, books and articles. You can research an
item, like Echinacea, then refine the search, medicinal use, immune response, motility of white blood cells.
Traditional vs Herbal medicine:
Traditional Medicine is thousands of years old, herbal. Homeopathic medicine is 300 years old. Pharmaceuticals drugs
have a 17 year patent until they go generic, or a less expensive alternative is created by a pharma company and
approved by the FDA. Herbal medicine is a great complement to traditional western medicine. In addition to the known tests we have received
for years that are covered by multiple insurance carriers and Medicare, Ellen strongly recommends all people also test
their blood for nutritional status and potential vitamin deficiencies. For example – there have been studies linking
vitamin B deficiency years before MS presents itself. Taking the vitamin B is a good preventative. Low vitamin /
deficiencies create future health issues.

These doctors have a cash business and do not accept insurance. There are 2 local doctors the Ellen recommends:
