1. Floral Arranging Demonstration with Susan Strauss
Susan Strauss, Federated Garden Club master judge, botanical artist and former Second District Board member will be our speaker. Susan has been arranging flowers for over sixty years. She has worked as an enrichment lecturer on Norwegian Cruise Line and sells antiques when she isn’t demonstrating flower arranging.
Susan will demonstrate 3 arrangements that will be in the “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" flower show schedule: an Underwater Design, a parallel design and a group mass design.
2. Nifty Thrifty! Bring in Your Thrifted Treasures
REMINDER: Wear something you've thrifted or bring in your favorite thrifted item or antique to display at our September meeting.
Thrifting and antiquing, as well as donating to thrift shops are fun ways to conserve and help the planet! When you buy used items or donate your own items rather than discarding them, you are diverting items from landfills. For more information on helping the planet, read the Conservation report in the September newsletter.
