We are very happy to announce that six trellises were installed this week at the Vanderbilt Ro by Jim’s crew, and they look fabulous! These trellises will support the six climbing hydrangeas as they climb up the wall in front of the Handicap Parking lot.
We have the majority of companion and beneficial plantings in place now, and they await this coming spring’s arrival of the 40 plus roses going in the spots reserved for them. As hard as it has been to hold off planting the roses to ensure the Rose Rosette disease mites have vacated, it will be amazing to see the perennials with a full year’s growth already in place as we plant the roses.
As always, we are so grateful to those able to provide help in the garden and those who have come to visit. It has, and will continue to be, a project for us all to be proud of…a community project at its finest!
